All five goals came in the second half, with Koke opening the scoring for Atletico Madrid before goals from Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann turned the match on its head.
Alvaro Morata’s penalty in the 81st minute appeared to send the match to extra-time but Angel Correa scored in the 86th minute to secure the win for Diego Simeone’s side.
The win for Los Rojiblancos means that Sunday’s Super Cup final will be an all-Madrid affair following Real Madrid’s win over Valencia on Wednesday.

Ernesto Valverde’s side swung the game on its head after Koke gave Atletico Madrid the lead thanks to goals from Messi and Griezmann.
Messi restored parity with a fine shot with his right foot before Griezmann headed home from close range against his former club.
Griezmann’s 62nd-minute goal came moments after Messi had a second goal ruled out for handball following a VAR review.
Then, after it became 2-1, Gerard Pique thought he had made it 3-1 but his goal was also disallowed by VAR, which this time spotted Arturo Vidal’s marginal offside.
So Barcelona had two goals chalked off and they were made to pay when they conceded two goals in the last 10 minutes.
Barcelona goalkeeper Neto tripped Vitolo inside the penalty area, giving Morata the chance to score from the penalty spot.
Then, in the 86th minute, Morata put Correa through on goal and his shot was parried into the net by Neto’s weak hand.
The Saudi Arabia crowd were treated to all enthralling affair and they will hope for another one when the two Madrid sides meet on Sunday evening.
Atlético Madrid stun Barcelona in Super Cup thanks to Ángel Correa winner
• Atlético Madrid will face Real Madrid in Sunday’s final
Atlético Madrid pulled off a stunning turnaround to beat Barcelona 3-2 in an enthralling Spanish Super Cup tie in Saudi Arabia and book their place in the final of the revamped competition where they will face Real Madrid.
Argentinian forward Ángel Correa’s winner in the 86th minute complete an unlikely late comeback for Atlético after Barça had dominated the second half and had two goals ruled out following VAR reviews.
Substitute Koke had put Atlético in front at the start of the second half but Lionel Messi levelled in the 51st minute. Messi soon put the ball in the net again but his second effort was ruled out for handball after a VAR review.
Former Atlético striker Antoine Griezmann did put Barça in front in the 65th minute while Gerard Piqué thought he had extended their lead moments later but that goal was also ruled out by a VAR review, this time for a fractional offside against Arturo Vidal.
Atlético had spent most of the second half trying to stop waves of Barcelona attacks but received a lifeline when substitute Vitolo was tripped by goalkeeper Neto and striker Álvaro Morata equalised from the penalty spot in the 81st minute. Stand-in keeper Neto was also at fault for the winning goal, failing to properly block Correa’s shot which bounced in to seal the comeback.
Atletico Madrid battled back to beat Barcelona 3-2 in the semifinals of the Spanish Supercopa in Saudi Arabia on Thursday night in a wildly entertaining match that featured five second-half goals.
Both teams fielded full-strength sides for the chance to play Real Madrid, who beat Valencia on Wednesday in the other semi, in the final of the first-ever four-team Super Cup competition.
Barcelona had by far the better of the opening 45 minutes, but were held scoreless by Atleti in the first half despite spending plenty of time in their opponent’s penalty area.
Tempers flared as the teams went to the dressing room tied 0-0, with Luis Suarez handed a yellow card for confronting Atleti’s Joao Felix and Stefan Savic also booked for coming to his teammate’s defence.
Diego Simeone brought Koke on at half-time for Hector Herrera and seconds after the restart the Spain international had Atleti in front, slotting past Neto in the Barca net from a clever Angel Correa assist.
Barcelona hit right back through Lionel Messi, though, as the team’s talisman bulldozed his way into the Atleti box and lashed home a shot past Jan Oblak to even the score minutes into the second half.
“It was a very strange game, it was very hot and it was very tough for us but luckily we were able to turn things around and win,” Correa said.
“We got the victory because we had faith, we were always looking to win the game, we did that and we’re very happy.”
Messi produced more magic just before the hour mark, with another lovely goal ruled out after VAR showed the ball had bounced off the Barca No. 10’s upper arm before he shot.
The La Liga leaders had another goal ruled out by VAR later in the second half, this time for a marginal offside on Arturo Vidal when he squared to Gerard Pique for what looked like Barcelona’s third goal of the match.
The wide-open second half raged on and Vitolo, who had only just come off the bench, drew a penalty from Neto for tripping in the area and Alvaro Morata calmly stepped up and sent the Barca keeper the wrong way to get Atleti back on level terms.
Atleti, who hadn’t beaten Barca since 2016, were denied a clear penalty for handball on Pique shortly after their equaliser, but they’d take the lead in the 86th minute when Correa got in behind the Barca defence and beat Neto to hand his team the win.
Griezmann rued his side’s late collapse and put it down to Atletico’s superior energy levels.
“We lost the game due to our errors and in the end they had more energy in their legs while we struggled,” he said.
“We made a couple of bad passes and I gave the ball away for their last goal. It’s the little things like that which can lead to you losing a game or a title.”
The Windows Phone operating system is non-existent. This time, it’s not just figuratively dead, as the story has often been.
As of today, the 1709 version of Windows 10 Mobile, the final version of the operating system, is no longer supported.
The latest update arrives today as part of this month’s set of Patch Tuesday updates.
The models that actually got the 1709 version were the only ones shipped with Windows 10 Mobile.
Windows Phone started its life in 2010, or at least in its modern form. Of course, Windows Phone 7 was preceded by Windows Mobile, Zune, Pocket PC and Windows CE.

Although Inter had all the chances to win against Barca, who had almost eliminated the first team, they eventually gave up 2-1 at home.
INTER started the game very well, risking several times in the beginning with doubles Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

Active principles and properties of onions
Several prospective and epidemiological studies have shown that high consumption of vegetables and fruit reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers and other chronic diseases1,2. More specifically, studies indicate that the consumption of vegetables from the alliaceae family (onion, garlic, shallot, chives, green onions, leeks) could have a protective effect against stomach and intestinal cancers3,4. To date, there is insufficient evidence to link with other types of cancers (such as prostate, breast, esophageal and lung cancers) 4.
Cancer. Some epidemiological studies point to the link between onion consumption and the decrease in the incidence of different types of cancer5. First, a synthesis of case-control studies carried out in Italy and Switzerland reveals that eating one to seven servings of onions per week reduces the risk of cancer of the colon, larynx and ovaries6. Added to this is a lower risk of cancer of the esophagus, oral cavity and pharynx with an intake of seven servings and more onion per week6. The same trends are observed for cancers of the brain7, stomach and esophagus8 (studies in China). Researchers in the Netherlands report an inverse relationship between onion consumption and the incidence of stomach cancer9. Finally, mortality from prostate cancer would be reduced thanks to a high intake of onions10. The results of these observational studies should be interpreted with caution as they do not take into account several important factors, such as the variety and method of cooking onions, as well as the precise amounts consumed. In addition, some studies have failed to demonstrate significantly such protective effects against cancer11-13.
The onion may act at different stages of cancer development14. Studies show that onion extracts can inhibit mutation processes that trigger cancer15. They also decrease the proliferation of cancer cells15-17. These results come from in vitro and animal studies. The compounds involved and the precise mechanisms of action are becoming better known and research is continuing.
Cardiovascular illnesses. The onion contains compounds that act on various cardiovascular risk factors18. The majority of studies on the subject have been conducted in vitro or in animals, apart from a few preliminary studies in humans. The onion is recognized for its ability to reduce platelet aggregation in vitro, which is, however, 13 times lower than that of garlic19. Note that aggregation of platelets in the blood increases the risk of thrombosis and, therefore, cardiovascular disease. A recent study found that the addition of raw onions to pig feed for six weeks did not alter platelet aggregation, but significantly decreased blood triglyceride levels20. It should be noted that the amounts used in these studies are equivalent to a daily consumption of one half to one and a half onions in humans.
A preliminary human study indicated that the consumption of approximately three medium onions (500 g) in a soup decreased platelet aggregation ex vivo (test using blood from subjects) 21. In humans, the daily consumption of about 220 g of cooked onion for two weeks has not shown positive effects on platelet aggregation22. Some studies have shown that onions had lower antiplatelet activity after cooking19,23. The antiplatelet activity is believed to be partly attributable to the sulfur compounds and flavonoids (quercetin) of the onion. These two compounds could act synergistically22,24. The precise modes of action have yet to be determined25.
Antioxidants. Antioxidants are compounds that protect the body’s cells from damage caused by free radicals. These are highly reactive molecules that would be involved in the development of cardiovascular diseases, certain cancers and other diseases related to aging26. The main classes of onion antioxidants are anthocyanins and flavonols (more specifically quercetin) 5. Anthocyanins give red color to certain onion varieties, and flavonols color yellow onions5. It should be noted that these antioxidant compounds are mainly lodged in the outer layers of onions27. White onions contain few antioxidants compared to yellow and red ones16. In addition, red onion varieties generally have an antioxidant content5,15 and an activity with
